My Cat Just Stopped by...

My cat just stopped by to have a look at me.
Weirdly, this is what he does; he comes to me when he wants something. It is weird because I don’t even like him and he knows it. I guess we have an understanding - He comes and gets me when he needs something and in return he doesn’t mess in the house or try to sit on my lap or sleep on my bed. So far that has worked fairly well. But, it kind of irritates me that he won’t go get my wife or my niece when he wants something, after all they like him – for what reason I have a hard time conjuring up since he is a cat.
Now, I don’t really hate cats I just have no respect for lazy cats and I don’t want them bothering me, nor do I have any use for them. Seriously, have you ever known a cat to act even a little bit excited to see you when returning from a hard day at work? Don’t answer that, I already know the answer. Hmmm… I wonder if a cat is even capable of being excited – probably not.
This seems to me like a totally logical point of view. Everyone else has responsibilities and we all do them. Even my old dog that can barely hear or see will still run off the mail man. But, what responsibility does a cat have? That’s easy he is responsible to keep the area clear of rodents. Now just to be fair I haven’t seen a rodent lately but I know they are around. After all if the cat was doing his job I should have been seeing tracings. Most cats are so proud when they fulfill their responsibilities they will leave a tail or a head on your door step just so you know they are out there guarding the parameter and keeping the house and property rodent free. Nothing from this worthless cat – I mean nothing. Why else would one have a cat? They really have no other redeeming traits or value.
Well, the cat's stare is really beginning to bug me. I guess I better stop writing and give the cat his due. Even though quite frankly it should be little to nothing since he does nothing to deserve it. Hmmm…I just had a thought does Jesus ever think those kind of thoughts about me? After all he paid a high price to redeem me and I did nothing to deserve it – something to think about.

Oh no... I was just about rubbing my palms in glee and thinking "Wait till Choco reads this"

Then I see two comments and I just know that Choco was here. I click on comments and see that Choco has already left her tracings :-(

The woman is quick when it comes to cats...

You should send the Cat to Kolkata (where Choco is)

Ha Ha
Ms. Choco and Mr. Mind you two need a good scolding.
Cat does have a name – Cat – Mr. Mind is a Mind reader. Some call Cat Hobbs. Now my son, I have called KittyButt before after he let Cat like his face. He thought I was calling him ugly as a KittyButt but I knew Cat had within minutes licked its own butt. Thus KittyButt Face.
Silverline: I almost didn’t got to your suggestion after I saw Choco thought it cute but out of respect for you did. Okay – maybe cute could fit.
Now, Ms. Choco and Mr. Mind – Behave. I am glad at least I was able to offer you two a place to play.

You turned comment moderation off? This should be FUN!

I used to love cats. But now, I feel that many of them are snobby. I lived in Russia with this family. They had a HUGE Siberian cat. I'd sleep with my leg hanging off the bed. That cat would attack my foot every day by stealthfully aiming at my toes and charging at them, scratching, and biting the heck out of my foot. I hated that cat. But he loved me. When I was gone, the cat would stay in the drawers where my clothes were. It made the lady of the house very jealous when the cat did that. MAN that cat was annoying!

Holly - finally a voice of reason in a land of cat lovers. I'm pretty sure the cat didn't love you, it somehow knew feigning love for you would make its master jealous. Cats are like that. Another thought I just had maybe the cat was a communist…oops wrong post.
You lived in Russia? I need to hear more about that.

Choco - You are one funny lady and quick fingered on the keys.
OH - BTW don't listen to anything Choco says about cats I heard from a fellow blogger she is biased.
What kind of name is Pooffy - Giving anything a name like Pooffy borders on animal cruelty.

He he.. I liked the last two lines of this one...quite unexpected, but a good ending to a nevertheless detailed description of the cat :)
Hi Choco.. I love cats too! I had one, but it died in a road accident :(

Anita, are you sure you love cats? You said, 'had a cat'. It has been proven that a true cat lovers once they have had a cat must always have a cat and they end up being one of these senile old ladies that when the corner shows up has over 90 cats living in her house. Therefore since you had a cat - i say you are more like me and just tollerate cats.
Thanks for stopping by and thank you for the nice words.
